UD Featured on The Round Table

I wanted to say thank you to Mick Bradley of the The Harping Monkey for featuring UD on their most recent podcast. I've been listening to the Round Table for about three episodes now, and I really have been enjoying it. They are to mythic gaming and geekdom what This Week in Tech is to technology. Be sure to go check them out -- it's fine way to get your geek on.

(And yes, Mick...I finally got off my ass and listed myself in iTunes. *grin*)

Where's Chris?

A good question, and one that in recent weeks has been much on my mind.

Most of my spare time has been used on Podiobooks. We've been upgrading the skeletal code that I put up for the beta with new functionality, more text, more information, etc. Also, we've opened the Podiobooker blog and have started the various Podiobooks Podcasts (RSS). It's been a lot of work, but it's worth it if we can expose somemore good authors to the public. It's nice to use one's skills for Good.

On top of that, Evo (from the The Dragonpage), Ray (of IPodderX fame) and I are collaborating on a new project. No details that I can divulge as of yet, but it is exciting and looks to be a lot of fun.

My own podcast has suffered because of this, but I'll be working on a little something this week, if I can find the time. I still have folks I want to interview, so it's not dead. Fear not, the desperation wil continue. :)

One thing that I discovered recently is the Celtic Music News podcast. This is awesome. All sorts of celtic rock bands I've not heard of...it's a whole new world. I highly recommend it.

The other main thing that I've been spending time on is my writing. I've joined Mur's I Should Be Writing forums, and have been making a concerted effort to write more often. It's become a Goal to, gods help me, work on a novel in November as part of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The goal is to write a novel of 50,000 words or more (yeah, sure) by midnight on November 30th. Wish me luck!

More as it happens...
